This option lets you delete a constant and its translation from the Translation manager.
Note: The constant is only deleted from the Translation manager. The source programs are not affected.
Access
To delete a constant from the Translation manager:
- Select the required constant in the Details tab of the Translation manager.
- Select the Delete option from the tab's context-sensitive menu.
A message box will be displayed requesting confirmation of the delete operation.
Important: Deleting a constant works whether it is attached to one or to several programs. When you delete a constant, check that you want to delete it for all the programs to which it is attached. If not, use the Split option to isolate it, then delete it individually.
Note: Associated constants cannot be deleted directly; they must first be dissociated.
To recover a deleted constant into the Translation manager, you must re-extract it from the program to which it belongs.
Note: You can delete all the constants in a given program using the Cancel extraction option from the Translation manager's extraction box.
