Access
To open this page, click the General tab in the Create / Modify a software engineer dialog box.
Important: Only administrators can change the information in this dialog box.
This page identifies a software engineer.
Data entry
Name
Name of the software engineer.
Length: 15 characters maximum.
Mandatory field.
Description
Description clearly identifying the software engineer.
Length: 250 characters maximum.
System profile
User profile of the current software engineer.
This profile should exist for the Windows system or for the database manager.
The name is converted to upper case by Adelia.
This option is not available when editing a user role.
Mandatory field.
Group
Windows group associated with the user role.
This group must exist in the Windows system or database manager.
This option is only available if the authentication mode is "Windows" and a user role is being edited.
The associated button is used to select a group in the list of available groups.
Mandatory field.
AS/400 profile
AS/400 profile used for compilations.
This profile should exist for the AS/400 system. It is used for compilation jobs submitted by the job manager.
This option is not available when editing a user role.

Radio buttons
User
| Checked | The software engineer is a basic user and does not have access to Adelia Studio administration functions. |

The software engineer is an administrator, with access to the Adelia Studio administration menu. |

These boxes can only be modified by another administrator-type software engineer.
Buttons
Information
This button opens a dialog box displaying information on the current software engineer, such as the name of the software engineer-owner, the dates and times of creation and modification.
Comments
This button opens a dialog box for entering a comment text which will be associated with the current software engineer.
Undo
This button cancels the modifications made and restores the application to its previous state.
Note: The dialog box is closed by clicking the Close button 
(keyboard shortcut: Alt+F4). If any modifications have been made, a confirmation pane will appear, prompting you to save the changes.
