This program is used to import an existing database structure into the Logical Data Model.


The tool can be used to manage DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and DB2 for AS/400 databases. It uses Visual Adelia Middleware to communicate with the database server.


Access

To import a Logical Data Model, you must either:

  • Select the Import LDM option from the LDM menu in the LDM/PDM window.

  • Execute the ImpMpd command.

This program is presented as an assistant with a number of windows.


Three windows set out the different stages of the procedure:

  1. Environment connection window.

  2. Source database selection window.

  3. Data import window.
