Program templates

List of program templates attached to the current application area.

For each program template, the name, the type (I for Interactive, B for Batch), and the description are specified.

The sort sequence can be defined by clicking the column headers of the list.

Extended-selection list.

With correction environments, there may be a check mark in front of each program template name.

A red check mark shows that the program template is being held by the default correction.
A black check mark shows that the program template is being held by a correction other than the default correction.

Context-sensitive menu

The following options are accessible at all times via the context-sensitive menu.
In addition, there may be buttons to perform the same actions on the right-hand side of the window, depending on the settings in the Create/Modify a software engineer dialog box's Preferences tab.

Create

This option opens a dialog box which is used to create a program template.

Modify

This option opens a dialog box which is used to display or modify the general characteristics of the selected program template.

It is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Copy

This option is used to copy a program template of the current application area.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Delete

This option deletes the selected program templates, after confirmation.

When the deletion is validated, the list of program templates is updated accordingly.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Print

This option prints the description of the selected program templates.

The printing job is submitted to the Job manager.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Attach

This option opens a dialog box which is used to attach one or several program templates of the repository to the current application area.

Detach

This option detaches the selected program templates from the current application area.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

App. areas

This option opens a dialog box displaying the various application areas to which the selected program template is attached.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Analyze

This option opens a dialog box displaying all the tasks or programs which use the selected program template.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

4GL Editor

This option gives access to the 4GL source Editor for the selected program template.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

SSG

This option gives access to the Screen sequencing graph for an interactive program template.

If a batch program template is selected, a warning message is displayed.

This option is not active when no program template is selected in the list.

Hold

This option opens a dialog box enabling the selected program templates to be held by the default correction.

This option is only visible in correction environments.

It is only active when one or more program templates are selected in the list and the user has a default correction.
