This option lets you create either of the following:
- a new correction or development environment in the current version manager,
- a production environment for a new version manager.
To create an environment in a version manager, select the Create option from the context-sensitive menu for the Type - Environments in the version manager tab in a production environment's Environment attributes dialog box.
Data entry
Environment name
Name of the new environment. This name must not already be used for another environment of any type.
The name is initialized with the name of the environment selected in the list in the Type tab before the dialog box is opened.
The name entered can be either a database name, or a URL containing a schema specification (SCHEMA/DATABASENAME). If a schema specification is provided, the database creation tool is launched in table creation mode on an existing database; else the tool is launched in new database creation mode.
