French version

The export process creates an Excel file, AdeliaMSG_fr.xlsm, which contains the Translation Manager's error messages to be translated.

Export/Import tab

1st Level message

Text of the first level message.

The values in this column must not be changed.

1st Level translation [LANGUAGE]

Translation of the first level message. The level one message's translation should be entered in this column.

Max length 1st level

Maximum length authorized for the 1st-level message translation. This value is calculated using a VisualBasic function (it can be customized by the user) which presently takes into account the length of the 1st-level message parameters. Their presence determines the remaining size available for the translation.

Control 1st level

Displays "ERROR" if the 1st level translation exceeds the authorized size.

2nd Level message

Text of the second level message.

The values in this column should not be changed.

2nd Level translation

Translation of the second level message. The translation of the second level message must be entered in this column.

Max length 2nd level

Maximum length authorized for the 2nd-level message translation. This value is calculated using a VisualBasic function (it can be customized by the user) which presently takes into account the length of the 2nd-level message parameters. Their presence determines the remaining size available for the translation.

Control 2nd level

Displays "ERROR" if the 2nd level translation exceeds the authorized size.

Parameters length
1st level

Value that corresponds to the sum of the lengths for each 1st-level parameter (e.g. DATE = 8, TIME = 10, ALPHA(n) = n). This value is used to calculate the maximum length for the translation.

Parameters length
2nd level

Value that corresponds to the sum of the lengths for each 1st-level parameter (e.g. DATE = 8, TIME = 10, ALPHA(n) = n). This value is used to calculate the maximum length for the translation.

Latest translation

Date and time of the most recent translation.

This column is updated whenever a first level or second level translation is changed in the Excel file.

The values in this column must not be changed.

Button: Stop timestamp/Start timestamp

By clicking the button Stop timestamp, the Excel macro used to indicate automatically when a translation was last modified is deactivated. Consequently, the "Latest translation" column's header becomes "Latest translation (Timestamp temporarily halted)".

By clicking the button Start timestamp, the Excel macro used to indicate automatically when a translation was last modified is reactivated. The title for the "Latest translation" column's header remains "Last translation (Timestamp temporarily halted)".

Notes:

- When the macro indicating the last modification date is active, the option Cancel xxxx in the Edit menu is not active. This is why in the case of certain operations where deactivating the Cancel option is annoying, it can be interesting to stop timestamp to be able to use the option.

- The columns in the Excel file are not automatically sized according to the cell contents, and some cells may overflow. You can configure the column width by changing their size in the Excel template file %ADELIWS%\AdeliaMSG_en.xlsm (or %ADELIWS%\AdeliaMSG_fr.xlsm for the French version).
