This option lets you view the constant directly, as it appears in the program.
Access
To display a constant's program details:
- Select the program containing the required constant in the Extracted programs using a constant dialog box of the Translation manager.
- Select the Detail option from the box's context-sensitive menu.
Depending on circumstances, this option will open:
The 4GL Editor in the case of a Visual Adelia program,
The Screen Layout Manager, in the case of an Adelia interactive program.
The Report Layout Manager, in the case of an Adelia batch program.
Important: It is not possible to display Crystal Reports constants.
Being able to display constants in their actual program context makes them easier to translate.
These windows open non-modally, and can either be left open or closed if the user no longer needs them. The user can also select several programs or reports before clicking the Detail option. In this case, the 4GL Editor, the Screen Layout Manager and the Report Layout Designer (depending on the program type) will open simultaneously.
